In worship, chickpeas are often offered as naivedyam to deities, representing gratitude and devotion. They are also used in preparing prasadam, shared among devotees as a sign of divine grace. In certain planetary poojas and charitable acts, donating chickpeas is believed to remove obstacles, attract prosperity, and bring spiritual well-being.

With their deep-rooted religious importance and nourishing qualities, chickpeas play a vital role in traditional worship, symbolising sustenance, positivity, and divine favor.
