Every evening through Kartika Masam, a Karishye purohita performs Rudrabhishekam, with the gotra and name of every registered family. You take part through orientation, a daily companion, and prasadam in your hands at the end of the month.

The idea

A puja should not be something a family pays for, forgets, and never feels. This month-long Rudrabhishekam is one you take part in. Enrolling becomes your family’s own vratam for the month of Kartika.

Can we join from outside India?
Yes. The Maasa Sankalpam is open to all, anywhere. Prasadam delivery outside India is ₹2,500, added to your total when you register.
Can we attend the abhishekam in person?
The Ēkaḥ Yajamānaḥ family receives a gate pass to attend on its chosen day, and five families can attend the Rudra Homam on 8 December in person. The daily abhishekam through the month is followed through the photo, video and WhatsApp companion.
Where do families come in person?
To an ancient mutt in the heart of Hyderabad, a place of long tapasya in its tradition, where saints spent extended periods in sadhana. Swayambhu kshetras stand close by, including the Ranganatha temple and the Lakshmi Narasimha temple, about 2 km away. Its Shiva alayam was consecrated by the saints of the tradition. Karishye is grateful to partner with the mutt that stewards this space, and contributes 30% of what it receives to support its continued work.
What makes Kartika Masam special?
Kartika is held dear to Shiva. Its rhythm runs through the Somavarams (the Mondays of the month, falling on 16, 23 and 30 November and 7 December), the deepam lit at dusk, and Karthika Pournami on Tuesday 24 November at its peak. An abhishekam offered every day through this month is held to carry special fruit.
Are Jwala Toranam, Satyanarayana Vratam, Deepotsavam or Deepa Daanam included?
No. These belong to the wider Kartika Masam tradition and are not performed by Karishye. The orientation explains how you can observe them yourself. What Karishye performs daily is the Rudrabhishekam in your family’s name.
Is Vana Samaradhana part of this?
No. Like the other observances of the month, it is part of the wider Kartika tradition rather than a Karishye service. The orientation covers how families take it up.
How many family members can we add?
Add every family member you would like named. One sankalpam carries one gotram for the family.
We don’t know our gotra.
The gotram is needed for the sankalpam. Message us on WhatsApp and our team will help you find it before you register.
What time is the abhishekam each evening?
It is performed at the same evening hour every day of the month. Our team shares the time with every registered family on WhatsApp.
When will we receive the prasadam?
Vibhuti prasadam is couriered at the close of the month, after the Rudra Homam on 8 December.
What if our chosen day is taken?
Each day has one Ēkaḥ Yajamānaḥ family, first come, first served. Days already taken show as unavailable when you register.
